Instructions
- Add 1 cup of water to a 2 cup Pyrex glass measuring cup or similar container. Microwave to boiling. Add cashews or almonds. Cover and let stand about 30 minutes.
- Add nut and water mixture to small blender cup and blend on high until smooth and creamy.
- Place a small sieve over a coffee mug and pour cream through a little at a time, pushing down with a spoon to squeeze all of the cream out of the leftover nut pulp. Or use a nut bag.
- Optional Vanilla flavored cream--split 1 inch piece of vanilla bean, scrap seeds into cream, and mix well. Store cream in a small jar with a tight fitting lid and use within 5 days.
- Serve cream with herbal tea. Limit to 2 tablespoons a day. Substitute 2 tablespoons cream for 1 protein snack during Jump Start.
