Caprese Salad Jars

- 1 dry pint cherry tomatoes

- 8 ounces mozzarella balls or pearls cherry size

- 1/4 cup basil leaves

- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Instructions
- Drain mozzarella pearls. Add to medium-size bowl.
- Wash tomatoes and slice in half. Add to bowl.
- Wash basil leaves. Set aside a few leaves to use as garnish. Pull the remaining leaves from the stem and stack together. Roll leaves up and then slice across their width into thin strips or chiffonade. Add to bowl.
- Add olive oil to bowl and mix all ingredients lightly. Optional - add salt and pepper, to taste.
- Put Caprese Salad in Mason jar[s] for a fun side dish. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
