Instructions
  1. Mix your choice of dried spices and seasonings with coconut sugar and your choice of salt and pepper in a small bowl. Store unused dry rub in a small glass jar with a tight fitting lid. All recipes are mild and call for just 1/8 teaspoon pepper of your choice. Add more pepper, to taste, for spicier dry rub.
  2. VEGGIE DRY RUB - 1 teaspoon dried ginger, 1 teaspoon dried lemon zest, 1 tablespoon onion powder, 1 tablespoon garlic powder, 1 tablespoon coconut sugar, * 1 tablespoon salt or herbed salt mix {recipe link follows}, * 1/8 teaspoon pepper of choice: black, Ancho chili, chipotle, cayenne, etc.
  3. SEAFOOD DRY RUB - 1 teaspoon dill weed OR fennel seed, 1 teaspoon lemon zest, 1 teaspoon parsley, 1 tablespoon sweet paprika, 1 tablespoon coconut sugar, * 1 tablespoon salt or herbed salt mix {recipe link follows}, * 1/8 teaspoon white pepper or other pepper of choice: Ancho chili, chipotle, cayenne, etc.
  4. CHICKEN DRY RUB - 1 teaspoon rosemary, 1 tablespoon garlic powder, 1 tablespoon onion powder, 1 tabelspoon sweet or smoked paprika, 1 tablespoon coconut sugar, * 1 tablespoon salt or herbed salt mix {recipe link follows}, * 1/8 teaspoon pepper of choice: black, Ancho chili, chipotle, cayenne, etc.
  5. BRISKET AND RIB DRY RUB - 1 tablespoon ground sassafras leaves {order online if you can't find locally}, 1tablespoon sweet or smoked paprika, 1 tablespoon garlic powder, 1 tablespoon onion powder, 1 tablespoon coconut sugar, * 1 tablespoon salt or herbed salt mix {recipe link follows}, * 1/8 teaspoon pepper of choice: Ancho chili, chipotle, cayenne, etc.
