Instructions
  1. Preheat oven or toaster oven to 450 degrees.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Wash and peel sweet potatoes or leave skin on for a lower carb load. Cut sweet potatoes lengthwise into thick slices. Cut each slice into individual fries.
  4. Arrange fries in a single layer on parchment lined baking sheet. Lightly spray with propellant-free 100% oil cooking oil spray {avocado, coconut, or extra virgin olive oil}.
  5. Sprinkle with your choice of seasonings. Ancho chili pepper powder + pumpkin pie spice is a favorite.
  6. Or try ground cinnamon + crushed red pepper flakes, garam masala powder + chipotle pepper, lemon zest + garlic powder, onion powder + ground rosemary, yellow or red curry powder, etc. If using, add salt and pepper, to taste.
  7. Turn fries over with tongs. Lightly spray and sprinkle with spices of choice.
  8. Bake 10 minutes. Remove from oven. Turn over with tongs. Return to oven and bake 10 to 15 minutes longer or until sweet potato fries are tender and slightly browned on the ends.
